As part of its responsibilities, as required in para. 5.3, the government shall ensure that:

1. Information is gathered on activity concentrations of radon in dwellings and other buildings with high occupancy factors for members of the public⁵³ through appropriate means, such as representative radon surveys;
2. Relevant information on exposure due to radon and the associated health risks, including the increased risks relating to smoking, is provided to the public and other interested parties.
